Enhance, Don't Try to Change or Hide Features

Name: Karitsa

From: Fort Worth, Tx United State

makeup blog

The best way to visualize applying makeup is to try to think about enhancing your natural features rather than changing or hiding them. Karitsa did a nice job with her foundation as the coverage is smooth and she looks refreshed. She also chose a flattering lip color that would work well with everyday makeup, as well as the final touch to a glammed-up prom look. Her eyebrows, however, appear to be a little over powering and unnatural looking in the first picture. She should use her natural eyebrow structure and fill in wherever necessary without overdoing it to achieve the perfect makeup look. The way that she has done them looks a little unnatural and definitely unflattering compared to an otherwise great look.

A piece of note: These pictures are selections from some of the first submissions. These are also examples of an incorrect picture format. The correct format should have only one makeup application per submission, and it should contain a picture of you before and after the makeup (then before with no makeup on). If you need a guide please refer to number 2 on our FAQ page.
