1. What are the requirements/guidelines for submitting the pictures?

​

Your submission should include one picture of your full face before and another one after you applied the makeup. If easier, you can send us only one picture if you have software to combine them with a format showing the changes side by side. (Please don’t send us one picture of half of your face with makeup and the other half without!) Since this is a makeup exclusive website, you also don’t need to send us a full body shot – after all, we aren’t talking about your shoes! Photos taken anywhere from waist and above are acceptable. There should be only one makeup application per submission. Not multiple looks for multiple occasion. Please also do not send us pictures with poor lighting or low qualities because it will impair our judgment. Your pictures should be in JPG or JPEG format. Alternatively, PNG and GIF files are also supported.

2. How do you choose the pictures to be featured on your blog?

Unfortunately, we can’t feature every submission on our blog because of the large quantity of submissions we receive every day. The pictures we pick for blogging are based on the picture's quality (not blurry or dim), eye-catching characteristics, and outstanding makeup application skills.

NOTE: Even if your pictures are not featured on our blog, we may still use them on our social media pages. We try to feature as many submissions as we can!

3. How do you keep my name or age private from your blog?

​

By default, we will publish your first name, age, and general location if your pictures are chosen for our blog. If you don't want any of this information published, you can write a comment in the box where you describe the occasion of your makeup look on the submission forms before you submit it.

4. Is it possible that you only provide feedback on my photos without featuring them?

​

Yes, this particular feature is part of our premium submission services. If you prefer not to have your photos posted, kindly indicate your preference in the comment section when making a submission.

5. Is my personal information safe?

​

Privacy is our number one priority. Although we do not collect sensitive and personal information such as your home address or phone number, your privacy and safety is of the utmost importance to us. As such, we will not share your personal information with any third parties for commercial purpose. Your pictures will be used only on makeupsubmit.com and its affiliates social media pages such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
